Seaview

In 2019, we came across an outdated office building with no identity on Gevers Deynootweg in Scheveningen, The Hague. This building, formerly an office, dates back to the 1970s and was in need for a redevelopment.

The Hotel van Abeelen stood on this site at the beginning of the 20th century. Unfortunately, this beautiful building was destroyed by a fire in 1975. Seaview is a modern interpretation of this former hotel and brings back the lost grandeur to Scheveningen.

The existing building has not been lost. By circularly reusing the existing structure, we reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 40% compared to new construction. Moreover, Seaview is fully electric, has no gas connection, and it generates its own energy through solar panels.

Seaview is function-free. A building which is suitable for living, working and as a hotel. As a first use, it is an apart-hotel. Here, several studios can be linked to form 2 and 3 room apartments. The 66 rooms are operated by Numa. The building is in our own investment portfolio.
